snow folk

At the town garage, Bethel, getting sand for our steps. Allen is shoveling.
We snowshoe to check roof condition—not that good—maybe 3 ft. the top part—but the snow is ice inches deep, not safe going. Allen broke it for me but we could not get over the walls of Jericho below. The deck is so deep he has to cut steps in it.

Drive to Bethel to see the world’s tallest snow woman a’building. Not yet looking like a she. More like Babylon’s Tower (no metaphor intended). Slimmer than the previous tallest of eight years ago—a snow man. The roadside snow walls are filthy, the roads narrow and blind. Good thing they don’t get snow like this in Harlech—or do they?  Just reminiscing here, and daydreaming about scanty snowfall in Wales.
